Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+ come to India, to go on sale from Aug 23

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED Quad HD+ Infinity -O display and a triple rear camera setup.

Samsung unveiled its latest Note series flagship smartphones in India, a couple of weeks after the phones were released in New York on August 7. While there were four models launched for the US market with an additional 5G device for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, these have not been released in India yet. The other major difference is the processor is the inhouse Exynos 9825SoC for the models released in the Indian market. The models sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855SoC in the US and other select markets. Samsung however claims its chipsets are superior to any comparable brand.

The South Korean company has also brought in only one variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and two of Note 10+ to India. The Galaxy Note 10-series would go on sale in India starting August 23, with pre-orders available till August 22.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is the higher end model with a 6.8-inch AMOLED Quad HD+ display. The Infinity -O type screen has a punch hole to house the front camera and sports an aspect ratio of 19:9 and the screen resolution is 1080x2280pixels. The screen HDR 10+ certified.

For RAM support, there is 12GB of RAM and the storage is being released with two options, one of 256GB and the other 512GB. Users can add a microSD card to lift the storage up to 1TB.

The Android Pie OS with Samsung’s OneUI out of the box will be the operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ has a fabulous 4-camera setup in the rear with the sensors being accommodated in a vertical line one below the other. The primary 12MP sensor is flanked by a 16MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens and a depth vision sensor. The front camera for selfies is a 10MP sensor.

Samsung has packed the camera section with a host of features, some of which can be controlled through the S Pen stylus. To highlight a few, there is one in which you can zoom in on a face in a video with the ‘Zoom in mic’ feature giving the feeling that person is voicing the song though it may be group performance. There is the Super Steady feature as well. The S Pen can be used to switch between the modes and the lenses by just waving it in front of the camera without having to touch the screen.

The phone comes with a 4300mAh battery with support for up to 45W Super-Fast Charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.

Now, the other device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a 6.3-inch with an identical display as the Note 10+ except that the screen resolution here is 1080x2280pixles. The processor is the same Exynos 9825SoC and the company has decided to release one RAM variant for the Indian market, 8GB couple with a storage of 256GB. There is no provision for a microSD card in this phone. There is no change in the OS.

The camera section in the rear will sport three cameras which are of the same configuration as the Note +, except that the fourth depth vision sensor will be missing in this. The front cameras are also identical.

The battery in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is 3500mAh with 25W Super-Fast charging support.

Samsung has priced the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 for the Indian market at Rs 69,999 and the two variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ have price tags of Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999 for the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB phones respectively.
