Samantha Akkineni is sharing the screen space with Ram Charan Teja for the first time following which expectations are high on Rangasthalam. Touted to hit the screens soon, the filmmakers are busy with the last leg of shooting, which is currently happening. On wrapping up her portions in the film, Samantha had tweeted, “And it’s a wrap!! #Rangasthalam Been a special journey with the most special team, they shine from within just as much as their Star tags #RamCharan @aryasukku @MythriOfficial. Can’t wait for the Big Bang.”

Written and directed by Sukumar, who is in-charge of the story, screenplay and dialogues, the film is being bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the popular banner Mythrie Movie Makers.

Set in the year 1985, this period flick is touted to be a revenge drama that has a bevy of stars in the cast. While Ram Charan and Samantha play the lead pair in it, those in the supporting roles include Aadhi Pinisetty, Prakash Raj, Jagapati Babu and Gauthami. Reports are that Ram Charan will be appearing in a never-seen before get-up in Rangasthalam and that would be its USP.

The music for this flick is being composed by Devi Sri Prasad with R Rathnavelu cranking the camera and Navin Nooli editing it. Made on a budget of Rs. 45 crores, Rangasthalam is gearing up for release on March 30th.The teaser of this film, which was released on January 24th has garnered a lot of attention and the audio launch is slated to happen this month. The exact date of the audio launch will be announced soon, say sources. It may be mentioned here that the teaser registered 10 million views in just about 25.5 hours.

Going by the reports, the film has fetched Rs. 10 crores for the Hindi satellite rights alone. Further, reports are that a popular Telugu satellite channel has shelled out a huge amount for its Telugu rights. This proves that the pre-release business of Rangasthalam is going on as expected.

Expectations are high on Rangasthalam as it has Ram Charan and Samantha pairing up on the silver screens for the first time. Further, director Sukumar is riding high on the success of his last outing, Nanaku Prematho, which had Jr NTR in the lead turning out to be a big hit.
