After wrapping up a major portion of Raju Gari Gadhi 2 and Sukumar-Ram Charan’s movie, Samantha has re-joined the sets of her upcoming movie with Vijay, tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 61'. She is also gearing up for her wedding with her beau Naga Chaitanya in October at Hyderabad.
After wrapping up three schedules, the crew flew down to Europe. The team shot at a brisk pace and canned all the scenes pertaining to the Vijay and Kajal track in this schedule. With almost 65% of the shoot completed, the latest schedule began in Chennai on Sunday.
Recently, the theatrical and satellite rights for the film’s dubbed Hindi version were acquired by Goldmine Telefilms for a whopping Rs. 11 crore, making it the largest such deal ever struck for a dubbed Vijay film.
Directed by Atlee, the film also stars Nithya Menen, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film reunites Vijay and Atlee after last year’s blockbuster Theri. SJ Suryah is playing the antagonist while Vadivelu is expected to be seen in a key role to provide comic relief. AR Rahman is composing the music.
