Kabali actor Sai Dhansika will soon be making her debut in Tollywood.

Though she was seen playing Rajinikanth’s daughter in the Telugu dubbed version of Kabali, Mela will be her first direct Telugu movie. Kiran Sripuram will be making his debut as a director with this flick which will be made in Tamil as well as Telugu.

Speaking about Mela, actor Surya Tej who is playing hero in it had said that Sai Dhansika’s character in the film will be highly interesting which is the reason she accepted the offer immediately.

On his character, Surya Tej said that it is performance-oriented with a lot of variations that make it exciting. He added that Mela will be a power packed entertainer that will have the audiences glued to their seats.

The shooting of Mela will begin later this month. Dhansika is excited at the prospect of making her Telugu debut with Mela. About the film, she shares that it is a high voltage action entertainer that gives adequate importance to each and every character in it.

While plans are on to release the Malayalam dubbed version of the film as well, we hear that the team will be roping in a separate set of actors for the Tamil and Telugu versions.

Mela will be bankrolled by Santosh Konka under his banner. Cranking the camera for this film would be the National award-winning cinematographer Mohan Reddy and Sukku will be composing music for its album.

Sai Dhansika made her acting debut with Peranmai in 2009 and has acted in a number of Tamil films including Paradesi and Kabali. The actor was last seen in the bilingual Solo in which she played one of the female leads. She also has the multilingual Kitna in her kitty along with Valu Jada, and Kaathadi. Vizhithiru is gearing up for release soon.
