Yes, you will now have a ‘killer’ phone in the market. At least that is what the Chinese phone maker Xiaomi would want you to believe. This refers to a new phone from the company but in the sub brand Redmi. It will be called the Redmi K20 and for good measure there will be a Redmi K20 Pro too. This could be the brand’s flagship and the company appears quite excited about it.

They ran a poll asking people to choose the appropriate suffix, K20, P20, T20 or X20 and the choice was K20. Redmi may continue with this K series for some time, it is learnt. It is also rumoured that the phone may be called Poco F2 as far as the Indian market is concerned.

Much of the information in the public domain so far is in the form of speculation and not a lot is known about the specs etc. Even the presence of the K20 Pro variant is not confirmed by Xiaomi as yet. The only details being disclosed are that the phone will sport a 48MP rear camera.  This appears to be becoming the norm nowadays with many phones released in the recent past coming fitted with the 48MP camera. The front camera is rumoured to be 32MP, quite large by any standards.

A 4000mAh battery is also suggested for the Redmi K20. Some aspects, like an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a longer 2-day battery life are let out by the manufacturers themselves. A super wide-angle lens could be part of the rear camera setup. Will the front camera be a pop-up one? Its not known yet.

There could be 4 RAM / 6 RAM storage variants of the Redmi K20 if the speculators are to be believed.

If all these add up, it can be assumed that the phone will have some top-notch specs in terms of the phone’s display size along with a powerful processor.
