It is not easy for film buffs to forget Sivagami of Baahubali. Veteran actor Ramya Krishnan played Queen Mother Sivagami in the film which earned her accolades from all quarters. And now, she is all set to play Sivagami again.

Well, it is not for Baahubali but for a Kannada movie titled Sivagami for which Ramya Krishnan has been roped in for the title role. She will be seen as a 9th century queen in the movie.

Praveen, who was seen in Simlpe Ag Innod Love Story and Payal, who had played the female lead in Bengaluru Underworld, will be seen playing the lead pair in this flick. Avinash, Ravi Kale, Golisoda Madhu, Roller Raghu, Kuri Bond Ranga, Ritesh and others have been roped in to play important roles in his historical film.

Madhu will be donning the director’s robes for this flick and he has written the story and screenplay as well.

Veer Samarth will be composing the tunes for this flick and the lyrics will be penned by Yograj Bhat, Bharjari, Bhadur Chetan Kumar, Ghouse Peer and Dr V Nagendra Prasad. Cranking the camera for Sivgami would be Bala Reddy. KM Prakash would be editing it, and Shiva Shankar would be choreographing the dance sequences. The shooting of this film is currently in progress with the team working hard to complete it on time to so that it will be out at the theatres early next year.

With Ramya Krishnan playing Sivagami, movie buffs just can’t wait to catch her in action again on the silver screens! It may be noted here that Ramya Krishnan has won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu for her role in Baahubali: the Beginning. Apart from Sivagami, she also has the Telugu film Balakrishnudu in her kitty.
