Ram Gopal Varma insults Rajinikanth, again; will he ever learn?

Ram Gopal Varma is at it again. Taking pot-shots at Rajinikanth. The director took to Twitter to congratulate Kannada actor Sudeep on his new film “Kotigobba-2”.

But of course, RGV can never pay a compliment without raking up a controversy.

First, he suggested to Sudeep that the latter change his name to “Rajni Sudeepa”.

He also told him that his performance was better than that of actor Vishnuvardhan’s, who had starred in Kotigobba (2001), the Kannada remake of "Baasha".

Sudeep’s response was gracious, with the actor saying he was nowhere close to Rajinikanth or Vishnuvardhan.

But RGV just couldn’t let it go.

Not surprisingly, he succeeded in getting on the nerves of outraged Thalaivar fans.

This is not the first time that RGV has had a go at Rajinkanth or his fans. In April this year, fans didn’t take too kindly to RGV’s comments about the Thalaivar. “This man by being the biggest star ever completely destroys the notion of looks being important for stardom. He is a bad looker, doesn’t have six packs, short with a disproportionate body and knows just two and a half dance movements,” he had said.

RGV later said that Rajini fans were “too dumb” to understand that he was paying the Superstar a compliment.

A couple of months later, RGV compared Amitabh Bachchan with Rajinikanth and said that the former was a “vastly superior” actor.

RGV is convinced that he’s a funny guy. Take a look at his cringe-worthy tweet about the Obamas:

Now who is remixed and who is plain mixed up?
