Actor Rajasekar's daughter, Shivani was supposed to make her debut in Tollywood with the remake of 2 States this year alongside actor Adivi Sesh. However, due to unknown reasons, the project has been delayed.
According to fresh reports, actor Rajasekar has managed to get her daughter a new project, which would be written by director Prashanth Varma of Awe fame.
Both Prashanth and Rajasekar share a good rapport, as they had worked for the film Kalki earlier.
The film would be directed by Mallik Ram and Teja Sajja, who was a popular child artist, will be playing the male lead in the film.
The remake of 2 States, was being directed by Venkat Reddy. However, allegedly due to creative differences between the director and Producer, MLV Satyanarayanam, the film has been delayed. But, there is no official announcement in this regard from the film unit.
About the film, an excited Adivi Sesh, was earlier quoted as saying to First Post, “When Telugu audiences saw 2 States, they found it a bit too slow. While maintaining the tone and retaining the emotions of the original, we hope to make the remake peppier. By this, I don’t mean adding needless comedy. I’m talking about the way the film will be presented. It’ll be an urban rom-com, but slightly peppier than the original.”
Shivani, daughter of star couple Dr Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, is an accomplished dancer proficient in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi and is well-versed in keyboard, veena and guitar.
It was even speculated that she would be making her debut with director Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki 2.
