Vijay Devarakonda’s career graph skyrocketed with Arjun Reddy. The film was a massive success and he went on to become the hottest star in Tollywood. His latest film release, Geetha Govindam has also joined the smash hit club with the box office collections soaring. Directed by Parasuram, the film has Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead. Geetha Govindam was produced by Bunny Vas while ace producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts presented the film.
Two more films – NOTA and Dear Comrade – are in the pipeline for release for Vijay Devarakonda this year.
According to the latest buzz doing rounds, veteran filmmaker Puri Jagannath is planning to make a film with Vijay Devarakonda. He is reported to be working on a script that would immensely suit the star. After the scripting is done, the film will go on to the floors. In fact, Puri Jagannath was planning a film with his son Akash in the lead but has put it on hold for Vijay Devarakonda.
It may be mentioned here that Vijay Devarakonda made his debut with the Telugu movie Nuvvila in a small role. He was then seen in supporting roles in films before getting a break with Arjun Reddy. His recent release Geetha Govindam turned out to be a big hit and its collections are going up and have managed to reach the Rs 50 crore club. His next film release would be Taxiwala, which is in the post-production mode.
His performance in Arjun Reddy is touted to be the best in his career and he went on to win several awards including the prestigious Filmfare Awards South for Best Actor – Telugu and Zee Telugu Golden Awards for Best Actor.
With Puri Jagannath preparing a script for him, it needs to be seen if he would take up the offer.
