Following the positive response to the film, the filmmakers have decided to re-release the film in Andhra and Telangana regions.

iSmart Shankar, directed by ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, received positive response from audiences when it released in July, making it one of hits in Tollywood this year. Following the good response, the filmmakers have decided to re-release the film in Andhra and Telangana regions.

Confirming the news, Charmee Kaur, the producer of the film, put out the list of theatres in which the film will be releasing.

Charmee’s tweet reads: “#HBDPuriJagan Re releasing #iSmartShankar @purijagan @ramsayz @PuriConnects #PCrocks Telangana Dilshuknagar– Venkatadri,Warangal- Laxman,Karimnagar-Tirumala,Khammam- Aditya,Kazipet- Bhavani. AP Rajamundry- Urvasi Kakinada- Devi,Tirupathi- Vikyath,Guntur- Swamy,Vizag- Gokul” (sic).

iSmart Shankar will be screened at these theatres on September 27, 28 and 29.

The film, starring Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal, hit the marquee on July 18. The film was bankrolled by actor Charmee along with Puri Jagannadh. iSmart Shankar has Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani and Pavithra Lokesh among others in supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the music for this flick with Raj Thota cranking the camera and Junaid Siddiqui in charge of the editing. Shaik Jonny is the art director of iSmart Shankar with stunts choreographed by Real Satheesh.

With iSmart Shankar, Puri Jagannadh is back on track. The director was looking to score big at the box office but had failed for the past few years. Finally, he has delivered a big hit. Soon after iSmart Shankar’s release, Puri Jagannadh had said in an interview that Prabhas called him to say that he was happy that the film turned out to be a hit. The director also revealed that Chiranjeevi, N Balakrishna, Rana Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Sumanth and Ram Charan also called and spoke to him about the film’s success.

It may be noted here that Puri Jagannadh disclosed in an interview that he was already working on the script for iSmart Shankar’s sequel and has registered the title Double iSmart.
