Puneeth Rajkumar is currently busy with the shooting for Yuva Ratna, which is directed by Santosh Ananddram who had collaborated with the star earlier to deliver the smash hit film Rajakumaraa. Yuva Ratna has Sayyesha playing the female lead and this is her first film in the Kannada film industry.
An update that we have about this entertainer is that the shooting has reached the last phase. Reports say that the team is currently in Nandi Hills where some crucial scenes are being shot. Soon after this schedule is wrapped up, Yuva Ratna will go into the post production mode. Regarding its release, we hear that it will be sometime in early 2020 but the date is yet to be finalised.
Puneeth will be seen as a college student in Yuva Ratna, we hear. It also has veteran Bollywood actor Boman Irani playing an important role and reports suggest that he will be playing a college principal. Dhananjay will be seen as the main villain in Yuva Ratna with Radhika Sarath Kumar also roped in for a pivotal role.
Yuva Ratna is bankrolled under the banner Hombale Films. The production house recently tasted tremendous success with the film KGF, starring Yash. The technical crew for this flick includes S Thaman for music while cinematography is by Venkatesh Anguraj.
Santosh Ananddram and Puneeth Rajkumar, as mentioned earlier, had teamed up for Raajakumara before, which turned out to be a huge hit commercially. With the same team back together, it is enough to raise the expectation levels for Yuva Ratna. With the film almost reaching the post production stage, fans wait eagerly for its official release date.
Puneeth Rajkumar also has James in his kitty. The film will be helmed by director Chethan Kumar and bankrolled by Kishore Pathikonda.
