Problems for actor Vishal doesn’t seem to come to an end. A pro-Tamil group protested outside actor Vishal’s house against Nadigar Sangam’s decision to “stay away from political issues” and also for not responding to superstar Rajnikanth’s request to change the name of the Sangam.

According to media reports, Nadigar Sangam committee had recently taken a decision not to be involved in any kind of political issues in the state.

After casting his vote for Nadigar Sangam elections on October 17, 2015,  Rajnikanth had asked the Sangam to change its name to Tamil Nadu Artists Association, and do away with the current name of South Indian Artists Association. Actor Karthi, the newly-elected treasurer, had responded to this by saying that actions are more important than changing name of the association.

The group claims that Nadigar Sangam should not be apolitical and should also take Rajnikanth’s request into consideration.

The protest was carried out by a group called Tamilar Munnetra Padai led by Veeralakshmi.
