Producer Dil Raju of Venkateswara Creations had revealed a few days ago that the collections of the Allu Arjun starrer Duvvada Jagannadham surpassed that of ‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150.

However, this did not go down too well with the fans of Chiranjeevi who started to troll the producer on social media, with some going to the extent of demanding ‘proof’ about his claim on the box office collections.

The producer finally had to clarify about the whole incident and told a leading publishing house, “The collections of DJ will be Allu Arjun’s career best and it is a hat- trick for our production house (after Shatamanam Bhavathi and Nenu Local). I have not drawn any comparisons to Chiranjeevi’s film, and I was misquoted. A few fans approached me about the collections of DJ and asked whether I could show the records to prove the collections!”

What makes Khadi No 150 special for all Chiranjeevi fans out there, is that it was his 150th film and this was released earlier this year as a comeback vehicle, as he had been out of action for nearly a decade, owing to his political commitments.

Released on June 23, Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham took a grand opening and scored well at the box office.

The film, directed by Harish Shankar, was produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. While Allu Arjun played the main lead in it, the film also had Pooja Hegde, Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Tanikella Bharani, Chandramohan and Vennela Kishore in the star cast.

Devi Sri Prasad had composed music for this venture with Ayananka Bose handling the camera while Ramesh Reddy and Sathish Vegnesha had penned the screenplay.
