Prithviraj is currently busy with the cross-over film Detroit Crossing, a bilingual made in Tamil as well as Malayalam. In fact, this happens to be the second cross-over film in his career.

Directed by debutant Nirmal Sachdev, the film is about an immigrant community and the gang wars in Detroit and Michigan. While Prithviraj plays a gang leader in the movie, veteran actor Rahman will be sharing screen space with him. It may be recalled here that Prithviraj and Rahman had worked together in Mumbai Police and both of them played cops in the film.

In Detroit Crossing, Prithviraj gets involved with the street gangs and the story revolves around it. Sources in tinsel town add that the film is being shot in Malayalam under the title Detroit Crossing and Ranam in Tamil.

The film is based on some real-life incidents. The team is busy shooting the film is various locations in the US and they are expected to finish it on time to ensure that it makes it to the silver screens early next year.

Prithviraj has had three film releases this year with Ezra, Tiyaan and Adam Joan and he has a slew of films in his kitty. While Vimaanam has reached the post-production stage, he is concentrating on Detroit Crossing / Ranam now. Apart from these films, he has My Story, Aadu Jeevitham, an untitled Anjali Menon directorial, Veluthampi Dalava, Syamanthakam and Karnan.

Of this, Karnan was announced earlier this year but the filming is yet to start with the producer opting out due to budgetary constraints. It may also be mentioned here that Prithviraj is gearing up to make his debut as a director with the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer.
