It was revealed quite some time ago that Malayalam director Blessy intends to make a film based on Benyamin’s novel Aadujeevitham and that Prithviraj would be playing the lead role in it.

To get into character, Prithviraj has reportedly stated that he will be putting on weight for the role, as instructed by the director. The first schedule of Aadujeevitham will begin in February next year and the shooting will go on for some weeks.

While the team breaks after the filming of the first schedule, Prithviraj will move on to his next project Lucifer, which will be his first directorial venture. He will then move back to the sets of Aadujeevitham, after one schedule of Lucifer. According to reports, he will be sporting two different looks in the film.

Blessy, noted for his works such as Kazcha, Thanmathra, and Pranayam is busy with the groundwork of this film.  He is also the recipient of several awards in his long career and went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam for Thanmathra in 2005. He had won the Kerala State Film Awards for best director in 2011 for Pranayam, while Thanmathra won him best screenplay, best director and best film in 2005. Prior to this, Blessy also won the state film award for best film with popular appeal and aesthetic quality for Kaazhcha in 2004, which also won him the best debutant director award.

On the other hand, Prithviraj is busy with the release of Vimaanam, which is getting ready for release on December 21. His other films in the pipeline are Detroit Crossing, My Story and the untitled Anjali Menon directorial which are in various stages of production.
