Prithviraj has just completed the shooting of Vimaanam in which he plays a hearing and speech impaired person who is set on building his own aircraft and doing it against all odds. The story is based on real life.
Directed by Pradeep M Nair, the film has been bankrolled by Listin Stephen under his banner Magic Frames. With this project reaching the post-production mode and gearing up for release next month, the star has announced his dream project titled Meter Gauge 1904.
Announcing this project through his social media pages, Prithviraj stated that right from the time he had heard the script by Pradeep M Nair a couple of years ago, he was set on starring in Meter Gauge 1904 but that he was finding it difficult to find a producer. Eventually, Listin Stephen decided to bankroll it, he pointed out.
Not sure when this film will go on to the floors, the actor said that it requires a lot of research and that he's busy doing the same. He had posted on Facebook thus, “It’s a dream that Pradeep and I share. And as always..we are dreaming big. Don’t ask me when..coz there are humongous amounts of research and prep that something like this demands..and definitely don’t ask me how much..coz the last thing we want this film to be known by..is it’s budget.”
Prithviraj has had three film releases this year so far – Ezra, Adam Joan and Tiyaan. Vimaanam is slated for release in December. Apart from this, he has Detroit Crossing / Ranam in the final stages of production with My Story and an Anjali Menon directorial in his kitty. With Prithvraj announcing Meter Gauge 1904 as his dream project, movie buffs just can’t wait to know more about it.
