The Kannada movie Premam Poojyam will be actor Prem’s landmark 25th film! An interesting detail revealed about this film is that he will be seen in nine different avatars in it. The shooting of the film was wrapped up in Ooty recently and the team moved over to Munnar where a song sequence and some important scenes will be canned.
On playing different roles in the film, Prem said in an interview to the Times of India, “This is a film that is extremely close to my heart. I had heard around 80-odd scripts before this one came to me. Right from the title, everything about it seems to be just apt to be my 25th film. My character will have nine different shades through the course of the film, which is one of the reasons it will take a year to be made,” says Prem.
Premam Poojyam is touted to be a romantic action entertainer. Brinda Acharya is playing Prem’s lead pair in this film. The film is directed by Dr Raghavendra and it will be his debut directorial. Besides wielding the megaphone, he has penned the dialogues and screenplay as well. Interestingly, he is also the music composer for the film. Naveen Kumar will be cranking the camera for Premam Poojyam, which is produced jointly by Dr Rakshit Kedambadi and Dr Rajkumar Janakiraman.
On working with Dr Raghavendra, Prem had said in an interview earlier, “He is a doctor, but his passion for films is impressive. When he came to me with the story, that was the first thing I asked him about. He said that he did not want any concessions because is a doctor and said that I should do the film only if I was convinced about the story. At the end of two-and-a-half hours of narration, I stood up and clapped.”
