Sixteen-year-old Arya Suresh, who was battling for her life at the Thrissur medical college since last Monday has succumbed to her injuries. Arya’s battered body and the dead bodies of her two friends Athira and Raji were found on a rail track near Palakkad last Monday.Arya suffered from a cardiac arrest and died around 4 pm at the medical college hospital. The death of the girls and Arya's condition had been a case that had shocked and intrigued Kerala as the police and the girls' parents were unaware of reasons behind their death.Last week, Inspector General of Police Manoj Abraham had told the media that police do not think that the girls -- whose bodies were found on Monday -- were murdered.   "We are looking into their diaries and social media activities," said Abraham.   The three girls -- all aged 16 -- hailed from Konni and were classmates in a government school. They had not returned home since July 9.Their bags, some personal belongings, as well as an entry ticket to a garden in Bengaluru, were recovered from a train. Though a police team had visited Lalbagh garden in Bengaluru, they could not get any leads from the CCTV footage. The postmortem report had established that the two girls who died earlier had not been sexually abused.
