Prabhas’ upcoming film Saaho is facing a roadblock and its shooting has halted for certain reasons. The team was gearing to fly down to Dubai to film some important portions, including an action block at the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, but the schedule now stands postponed. Reports say that it has been rescheduled to later this month due to undisclosed reasons.

With the delay, there came the news that Prabhas will be moving on to another project, to be directed by Radhakrishna Kumar, which would go on the floors in July this year.

According to a source, the delay in Saaho prompted Prabhas to go ahead with the new film, which would hit the marquee ahead of Saaho. Now, the makers of Saaho have confirmed that their film is not in the Sankranthi release race as speculated and that Prabhas’ film with Radhakrishna Kumar will not release ahead of theirs.

Saaho, a sci-fi thriller directed by Sujeeth, went on the floors last year. The team completed shooting in India and had plans to film a major portion in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Romania. The schedule was supposed to begin last month but now stands postponed.

Sharing screen space with Prabhas in Saaho is the Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor. The others in the star cast of this multi-lingual film are Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Arun Vijay, Jackie Shroff and Lal. Bankrolled by U Pramod and V Vamsi Krishna under their banner UV Creations, Saaho is made on a huge budget of around Rs 250 crore. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are composing music for this venture with R Madhie cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing.

With Saaho being the first film for Prabhas after the colossal success of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, fans are waiting eagerly for its release. Well, for now it looks like the release date hasn’t been finalised yet.
