Prabhas starrer Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, had hit the screens on August 30, and opened to mixed response. In spite of several negative responses, the film made Rs 130 crore on its opening day worldwide and crossed Rs 370 crore mark worldwide. It performed well in its first week at the box office, and its domestic collections have touched nearly Rs 280 crore.

The film is now streaming on OTT Platform Amazon Prime. Interestingly its digital premiere is on the 50th day of the film’s release. While it is speculated that the film's digital rights have been bagged by the OTT platform for a budget of over Rs 40 crores, though there is no official confirmation. 

The film has been made in Telugu and was dubbed in Hindi and Tamil as well. The interesting fact is that Prabhas has dubbed in Hindi for the role. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him is actor Shraddha Kapoor. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. Saaho has been produced by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations.

The film is a bigger project than the actor’s last venture Baahubali in terms of budget and VFX. The film has got into record books for having a maximum number of VFX scenes filmed.

Meanwhile, Prabhas’s upcoming film is confirmed to be director KK Radha Krishna Kumar. Apparently, it is a romantic entertainer and the star is required to tone down his physique to suit the role. He currently has a strict workout schedule and diet plan, say sources.
