Prabhas is busy with the action entertainer Saaho right now. The film went on the floors last year and the shooting schedules went haywire for various reasons. The team recently completed filming some high octane action sequences abroad.

The plan earlier was to wrap up the shooting so that Prabhas could move on to his next in August. But the buzz now is that it may not happen. Sources in the know say that Prabhas will start work on his next film, to be directed by Radha Krishna Kumar of Jil fame, in October this year.

Director Radha Krishna has the script ready for the project and is getting ready to begin the shooting. It would be a romantic entertainer, say sources. We also hear that the film will be set in the 1940s, which will consist of the flashback portions, and then move on to the current era. Prep work for the film has begun and an official announcement is expected to be made soon about the cast and crew. Pooja Hegde has reportedly been roped in to play the lead opposite Prabhas.

It may be mentioned here that when there was a delay in the Saaho shooting schedules, reports surfaced that the Radha Krishna directorial would release first. But it looks like now that the issues have been sorted out Saaho would be the first to release.

Saaho, touted to be a sci fi thriller, is directed by Sujeeth. Sharing screen space with Prabhas will be Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor. The others in the star cast of this multi-lingual are Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Arun Vijay, Jackie Shroff and Lal. Bankrolled by U Pramod and V Vamsi Krishna under their banner UV Creations, Saaho is made on a huge budget of around Rs 250 crore. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are composing the music for this venture with R Madhie cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad in charge of editing.
