In 1991, when the couple had been dating for a couple of years, the two went to a fancy restaurant, where Michelle lectured 'him on the need to get serious in their relationship'.When the dessert came, there was an engagement ring inside it. "He said, 'That kind of shuts you up, doesn't it?' " Michelle Obama would say years later. A year later, the couple tied the knot. That's the story of the one of the most influential couples in the world.
