The 'Power Star' of Tollywood, Pawan Kalyan, turned into a full-fledged politician following which he decided to call it quits as an actor. While his fans are upset over the star’s decision not to act in movies further, there may be some solace to them in the news that his son Akira Nandan will be foraying into the Telugu film industry.

Akira made his debut in the Marathi film Ishq Wala Love, which had hit the screens in 2014 and turned out to be a big hit. Though he made a guest appearance in the film, he managed to capture the attention of the audiences with his performance. Incidentally, the film was directed by Akira’s mother and Pawan Kalyan’s ex-wife Renu Desai.

If industry sources are anything to go by, Akira Nandan is aiming for his debut in the Telugu film industry and we hear that it will be fresh story. Earlier reports suggested that it would be the remake of Ishq Wala Love but a completely different story is being planned out for him, sources say.

Reports suggest that Ram Charan Teja may bankroll the project under his banner Konidela Productions. The actor-producer Ram Charan recently tasted success with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. In terms of production cost, he had spent over Rs. 200 crore on the project. The blockbuster hit had Chiranjeevi in the title role.

Meanwhile, there are also reports doing the rounds that Tollywood filmmakers Krish, Harish Shankar, and another top director recently met Pawan Kalyan and have narrated their scripts to the star for a possible comeback film. Pawan had plunged into active politics and stopped doing films after the release of Agnyaathavaasi last year which was the 25th film in his career.
