In line with Panasonic’s aim of releasing a huge range of its smartphones for the Indian market, the company’s next offering is the Panasonic Eluga I5.

This new phone has a 5-inch display, which is of HD quality, the screen resolution being 720x1280pixels. The screen receives protection from a 2.5D curved Asahi Dragontrail Glass and the phones comes with a metallic body. 

The main processor is the octa-core MediaTek MT6737. The CPU gets support of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The memory capacity can be expanded through a microSD card up to 128GB. It’s a dual SIM phone with one micro and one Nano Sim slots the microSD card will be accommodated in one of the slots, being hybrid in orientation.

The Android Nougat version 7.0 will run the device and on the camera front, the Panasonic Eluga I5 will sport a 13MP camera in the rear which has a 5-piece lens, while the front camera will have a 5MP sensor with a 3-piece lens. The rear camera gets LED flash support as well.

4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4, FM radio and A-GPS are all the connectivity options available on this Panasonic phone making it a complete suit. The same holds good for the sensors also.  With regard to the battery, it’s a non-removable one with 2500mAh power. The dimensions of the new Panasonic I5 are 143mmx71mmx7.5mm and its weight, 145.5grams.
