Oxygen Gopichand’s forthcoming action entertainer is nearing completion. Directed by A.M Jyothi Krishna, son of popular producer AM Ratnam, the film is bankrolled by S Aishwarya under the banner Sri Sai Raam Creations.
The producer after consecutive hits with Ajith has ventured into the Telugu market. This is his third venture for director Krishna in Telugu, whose earlier films include Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu and Kedi.
Raashi Khanna has been roped in to play the female lead alongside Gopichand, who is pairing up with her for the second time after ‘Jil’.
The action thriller's music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the movie's budget is said to be Rs. 30 crores.
The first look poster was unveiled by the makers on Friday, and it clearly conveys that Gopichand will be seen as an Army officer.
In the poster, Gopi Chand is seen walking on a road wearing a complete red-coloured shirt with full sleeves and a brown-coloured pant. The people are seen following Gopichand, in a group holding sticks and weapons behind him.
The movie’s cast includes Jagapati Babu, Anu Emmanuel and Kick Shyam.
The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and the crew has completed three schedules. The makers are planning for a summer release.
