The latest to be shared on Weibo is supposedly a prototype of the OnePlus 8 Pro and the significant point to note is that it has a double punch hole on the front display suggesting there may be two cameras in the front. Then another image indicates the new phone will sport a curved display something already seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro.
There have also been rumours that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a display screen refresh rate of 120Hz.
The new thing about this prototype is it is different from a similar leak some time back in which only one punch hole could be seen.
Some of the other suggestions going around are that the OnePlus 8 Pro will be fitted with a quad camera setup, a bump from the triple camera arrangement seen on this year’s flagships. The sensors appear to be placed in a vertical line. The operating system will be the Android 10 with the Oxygen OS riding over it. The Alert Slider that has come to be identified with the OnePlus smartphones cannot be missed on these prototypes as well.
There appears to be no doubt that the OnePlus 8 offerings next year will be 5G smartphones. Most popular brands are expected to come out with their 5G phones next year with the demand for the devices likely to explode. China and the US are going to be two major markets where the 5G service will be rolled out in a big way. A USB Type-C port, single loudspeaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack appears to be included in the OnePlus 8 Pro as well if you went by these leaked/rumoured images.
None of these can be taken as confirmed information and have to be consumed as such.
