After Oppo Find x and Vivo Nex being launched with a pop-up selfie camera, reports suggest that OnePlus may follow suit.
Not many people may be aware that three of the popular Chinese brands of smartphones being sold in the Indian market, OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo are all part of one single company, BBK Electronics.
The front camera is embedded and can be raised and tucked back in through a motorized process. Now OnePlus may also be following the same design if the renders of its new phone OnePlus 6T are to be trusted. OnePlus first launches a flagship and follows it with a variant. The OnePlus 6T will be the variant of OnePlus 6 launched In June. The phone itself may be released later, possibly in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The fingerprint scanner would be below the surface of the display screen as seen in many other smartphones. The render also indicates that the new phone could have an aluminium body and the rear panel is glass.
Apart from these there may not be huge changes in the specifications of the OnePlus 6 T over the ones found on the OnePlus 6. To recall the specifications of OnePlus 6, it has a 6.24inch full HD+ Optic AMOLED display. The OS loaded on the OnePlus 6T is likely to be Android Oreo, version 8.1 and the proprietary UI, Oxygen OS could ride over it. The battery is likely to be of 3300mAh. The OnePlus 6T is expected to powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. There might be 2 RAM variants, 6GB and 8GB. According to these speculative reports, the OnePlus 6T may be fitted with a dual rear camera setup comprising 2 16MP sensors and the front selfie camera may also be the same 16MP.
Most of these specifications have been predicted based partly on the renders as well as the kind of new components and software the other two brands of the company have already come out with. The final specs and features will be known only when OnePlus releases the official communication.
