Two days after the murder of a 60-year-old woman in Chennai, another woman was found dead in her apartment on Wednesday. The 58-year-old advocate was found stabbed at her apartment in West Mambalam.

P Lakshmi Sudha had around 10 stab injuries on her back. She was living alone for the last 25 years after separating from her husband. Her son, Karthick, is living in Bengaluru and used to visit her, say media reports.

On Wednesday, Lakshmi’s maid Vimala came to the house around 5pm and found the door latched from outside. She called Lakshmi’s sister Vidhya Arul and informed her about the same. After her sister came, they opened the door and found Lakshmi’s decomposed body in the bedroom, police told The New Indian Express.

Lakshmi was last seen by her maid on Monday when she went to clean her house. Police said that Lakshmi had 10 stab marks on her back but they do not suspect a theft.

She was working in Madras High Court as an advocate but had stopped working for the last five years. Police said that the investigation was in process and does not seem like a case of robbery.

On Monday, a 60-year-old woman was found murdered in her house in Chennai’s posh T Nagar on Monday. She was living alone for the last 30 years.

Shanthi, the victim, was a spinster and police suspect that she was strangled to death. Her relatives have also informed the police that 60 sovereigns of gold were missing from her house. Police also suspect that the murder was pre-planned as three CCTV cameras facing Shanthi’s house were blocked by two JCB earth movers parked nearby, reported The New Indian Express.
