When Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was acquitted in a disproportionate assets case by the Karanataka High Court, many BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself wished the AIADMK leader. That the BJP and AIADMK are cosy with each other is old news, but what's new is that it's not just the BJP, but the Congress too seems to be warming up to the Dravidian party's supremo. Congress leader and Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, PJ Kurien has written a letter to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister congratulating her on the acquittal.“My hearty congratulations to you on your assumption as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu once again. It is indeed a moral victory for you as the judiciary has upheld the faith and trust reposed on it by the people of Tamil Nadu. I take this opportunity to wish you continued success in leading the State of Tamil Nadu and the nation and to realize the dreams and aspirations of the people for getting their tears wiped off and ensuring all-round progress. My best wishes and greetings to you once again.”Though Kurien is the RS deputy chairman, his letter is significant as this is the first time that a Congress leader has reached out to J Jayalalithaa. The Congress government in Karnataka after much deliberation has announced on Monday that they will go ahead and file an appeal against the acquittal in the Supreme Court. AIADMK party organ, "Namadhu MGR" has criticised the decision by the Karnataka government to file an appeal in the Supreme Court against Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s acquittal in a disproportionate wealth case calling the move “shameful”.  Read- Evil forces egged on Karnataka says AIADMK
