Nokia launched a new budget segment smartphone in the Indian market, the Nokia 4.2. It’s an Android One phone based on the Android Pie OS. The company has announced a price of Rs 10,990 and has said the phone’s availability will be pan India beginning May 21.

The specifications of the phone are as below:

The Nokia 4.2 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display and the water drop notch provided at the top of the screen for the front camera. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 439SoC with a RAM support of 2GB or 3GB. The internal storage will be 32GB for both RAM variants. As mentioned, this is an Android One phone. The rear panel of the phone is made of 2.5D curved glass with a fingerprint scanner. Even in a budget phone, Nokia has managed to fit in a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP sensor placed with a 2MP shooter. The notch on the front screen accommodates an 8MP selfie camera. The Nokia 4.2 comes fitted with a 3000mAh battery. Black and Pink Sand are the two colours in which this new smartphone can be purchased.

From HMD Global’s side, there’s a screen replacement warranty valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and the amount of reimbursement will be limited to Rs 3,500. In terms of the launch-time offers, Nokia itself is offering a Rs 500 off if the phone is bought online from the Nokia website.    

Apart from these you will be able to find other offers by carriers. In terms of availability, the Nokia 4.2 will first go on sale in retail outlets, starting May 14, in exclusive outlets like Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C and MyG. This is just for a week. Beyond, that, starting May 21, the phone can be picked up from offline stores across the country.
