Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly made his acting debut with the 2010 release Malarvaadi Arts Club, which was directed by Vineeth Srinivasan and he has acted in a number of critically acclaimed movies since then.
He made his debut in the Tamil film industry with Neram, a bilingual released in Tamil as well as Malayalam in the year 2013.
The star is now busy with a number of projects in his kitty including the Tamil film Richie, which is currently into post production mode. Directed by Gautham Ramachandran, it is a neo noir crime action entertainer that will mark Nivin’s direct entry into Kollywood. Richie, incidentally, is the remake of the Kannada hit flick Ulidavaru Kandanthe, penned by Rakshit Shetty.
The remake also has Natarajan Subramaniam, Ashok Selvan, Shraddha Srinath and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli in the star cast.
While Richie is slated for release very soon, we hear that Nivin Pauly has gone on to sign yet another Tamil movie. This new film will be directed by Prabhu Radhakrishnan of Kana Kaanum Kalangal fame. He will be making his debut as a film director with this flick.
Other than this, Nivin is also reported to have inked the deal to star in another Tamil film that will be produced by director Atlee and directed by debutant Surya Balakumaran. Nivin’s next release is most likely to be Hey Jude, directed by Shyamaprasad and he is also producing Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela under his own banner Pauly Jr. Pictures.
Interestingly, Hey Jude will mark Trisha’s debut in the Malayalam film industry. With Nivin having a slew of projects in Mollywood and going on a signing spree in Kollywood, fans are waiting eagerly for exciting announcements about his ventures.
