Prana, a multilingual film directed by VK Prakash, has a bevy of talents working on it.

While acclaimed cinematographer PC Sreeram will be cranking the camera, the Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookutty has been roped in for sound designing. Louis Banks will composing the tunes and Rajesh Jayaraman is the lyricist.

According to reports, the film will be using the new technology known as Synch Sound Surround format, and it is for the first time that this technology is being used in the country.

Nithya Menen will be playing the main lead in Prana. It is touted to be a thriller set in the backdrop of a hill station located in the southern parts of India.

Nithya Menen, who is expecting the release of the Vijay starrer Mersal on October 18, is making a comeback to Mollywood with this film. Reports say that the shooting has commenced in Peermade already.

The actor is collaborating with director VK Prakash after Poppins, which was a big hit and she has a signed a Malayalam film after the grand success of 100 Days of Love. On working in a Malayalam film, Nithya was reported by the Times of India as saying, “Jenuse Mohammed's a good friend. So, are Anjali, Anwar Rasheed, Amal Neerad and all of them. If they ever come up and tell me they want me to do a movie, I won't think twice about it.”

To be shot in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada simultaneously, Prana will be produced jointly by Anita Raj and Praveen S Kumar under the banners Real Studio and S Raj Productions.
