The Nirbhaya home at Poojappura now will get a compound wall, as a first step. The wall will be constructed by the state Pubic Service Department. Right now there are 32 inmates in Poojapura, all below 18 years and mostly school students. The authorities are also planning to add more rooms to the shelter home, a Times of India report said. \In all, 10 Nirbhaya shelter homes are ready in nine districts.  Victims of sexual abuse in each district, who are currently residing in mahila mandirams and destitute homes, will be shifted to Nirbhaya Homes once they are secure.
