The News Minute | March 25, 2015 | 9:45 am IST Nine days before her third birthday, Dolly Shivani Cherukuri has become the youngest Indian archer to score 200 points over five and seven-metre distances and has got her name into the India book of records. Sister of late Indian coach and international archer Cherukuri Lenin, who was killed in a road accident soon after the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, Shivani has already set a record which will be difficult to break. "She scored over 300 points and we are really proud of her. Our next stop will be to get her into the 2020 Olympics though she would only be nine years old then." Cherukuri Satyanarayana, her father, told The News Minute. The toddler posed for photographers with her golden medal and certificate after she fired 72 arrows in all in 24 attempts over the 5-metre and 7-metre distances, in Vijayawada, where she lives. The News Minute had earlier spoke to Satyanarayana about how Shivani was born through surrogacy and shaped to be an archer.
