This is not the first time pictures from the upcoming film Saaho has found its way to the internet. But, so far, only intense action or chase sequences made it online and this time around it is a romantic picture featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor. From the pic, it is evident that Saaho will have its share of romance as well and will not be a complete action entertainer as speculated.
Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor. The technical crew of this film includes Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy for composing music with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing.
Saaho is in the final stages for production with its release planned on August 15. There are reports that the makers of this film are planning to dub the film in Japanese and release it in Japan following the immense success of Prabhas’ Baahubali in the country. Baahubali was released in Japan to a good response and its collections at the box office crossed $1.5 million.
While Saaho is nearing completion, Prabhas has shifted focus to Jaan. The film, directed by KK Radha Krishna, is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations. According to reports, Prabhas will be appearing in two different get ups in Jaan. For one get up he will be sporting moustache and beard and for the other it will be a clean shaven look.
