Nayanthara, one of Tamil cinemas most successful heroines among the contemporary lot, is going through the best phase of her career. With three back-to-back blockbusters, she’s being considered the lady superstar, given her popularity among the masses.

The makers of Nayanthara's next unveiled the first look and title ahead of the star's birthday. The film has been titled 'Aramm' and is being helmed by Minjur Gopi who was previously involved in a public spat with AR Murugadoss over the story of Vijay starer 'Kaththi'.

Nayanthara, for the first time in her career, will be seen in the role of a Collector, who delves into the water problems of her jurisdiction. The story of the film is vaguely similar to that of Kaththi – the film that continues to be a bone of contention between Gopi and Murugadoss.

The film also stars ‘Kaaka Muttai’ fame kids Vignesh - Ramesh in the lead roles and Sunnu Lakshmi, Raams in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the banner ‘KJR Studios’, the project was offered to Nayanthara some time last year and back then she wasn’t sure if she was ready for a full-length woman-centric film. However, following the phenomenal success of Thani Oruvan, Maya and Naanum Rowdydhaan, she’s willing to experiment and take the risk.
