Following the success of Maya, where Nayanthara played the protagonist, her choice of films have become very unique and she no longer comes across as the kind of actress who needs a superstar by her side to succeed.
With strong female-centric projects such as Imaikaa Nodigal, Aramm and Dora in her kitty, Nayanthara has been signed on for director Chakri Toleti’s next titled Kolayuthir Kaalam, and the film’s first poster has already raised a lot of eyebrows.
In the poster, a visibly angry Nayanthara’s mouth is shut by a hand. It was released on the occasion of her 33rd birthday on Friday. It’s tipped to be a thriller and it marks the debut of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja as a producer and he will also compose the film’s music. The shoot is scheduled to commence from early next year and in the interim, Nayanthara will wrap all her pending projects.
Currently shooting for Thani Oruvan director Mohan Raja’s next film with Sivakarthikeyan, her next release will be Aramm, in which she plays a District Collector who delves into the water problems in her jurisdiction.
