Now seems to be the time for multi starrers in Tollywood. While expectations are high on the multi starrer RRR, which has Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR playing the lead roles in the SS Rajamouli directorial, there is another buzz going on about Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nani getting together for a movie.

Sources in the know say that Sriram Aditya had narrated a story to both the stars and has got their go ahead. Reports also suggest that the filmmakers are planning for its release on September 13 to coincide with the Ganesh Chathurthi festival.

While more details about the film is expected, we hear that Nani will be playing a doctor and Nag will be seen as a don. The film, which is yet to be titled, will be bankrolled by well-known producer Aswini Dutt. The shooting of this untitled venture commenced on March 18 on the occasion of the Telugu New Year’s Day,

Nani’s last outing at the theatres, Krishnarjuna Yuddham, in which he had played dual roles, received a lukewarm response. Besides this multi starrer, the actor is in talks with director Koratala Siva to play the lead role in his upcoming film.

The director is basking in glory over the success of the Mahesh Babu starrer Bharath Ane Nenu and is looking forward to take this film onto the floors. Meantime, Nani will be hosting the Second season of Bigg Boss reality show which was previously hosted by Jr NTR. The official announcement of this change was made by the channel recently and the promo was aired.

Meanwhile, Nag is getting ready for the release of his upcoming film Officer, which is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film is into the post production mode and is slated for release on June 1.

Paired up with Myra Sareen in it, Officer is touted to be an action crime entertainer. The film is bankrolled jointly Ram Gopal Varma and Sudheer Chandra under the banner R Company Productions.
