The News Minute | May 24, 2014 | 2.03 pm ISTA group of lawyers allegedly assaulted a Naga woman and her friends, inside a Delhi court on Friday.According to an Indian Express report (Lawyers attack friend of Naga woman who alleged molestation: Police ), the incident occurred at the Tis Hazari court. On Thursday, the woman had filed a complaint with the police against Inder Narayan, a lawyer, whom she accused of slapping her outside the Vishwavidyalaya Metro station in north Delhi. The next day, when Narayan was produced before the magistrate at the Tis Hazari court, a group of lawyers assaulted the woman and her friend J Mavio Woba, who was injured.The woman’s lawyer Dmitry, said: “The lawyers were unruly and violent. They even tore the shirt of the investigating officer. Police advised us not to aggravate the situation by insisting on a complaint against them on the court premises. It was good advice as the lawyers were about 20-30 in number and were getting violent. They threw ink on the files of the investigating officer and tore his shirt. The IO was rescued by us and we left through the rear gate.”
