A woman in Mumbai reportedly cancelled her wedding after the groom allegedly made a series of demands starting with asking for a nude picture of her.
Marathi newspaper Lokmat reported that the woman recently called off her wedding and lodged a complaint of cheating with the MFC police station in Kalyan, an area near Mumbai city.
A resident of West Kalyan, the woman was to marry a man living in Thane. They were engaged in June and due to get married soon. Things went smoothly until one day the man sent a message to the woman asking for a nude selfie of her. Shocked, the girl declined to do so.
According to the complaint, the man allegedly demanded dowry after the woman declined to give him a nude photo of herself. His family too, reportedly supported his demand for Rs 2-3 lakh to buy a new house. He even threatened to call off the wedding if his demands were not fulfilled.
However the girl did not give in to their demands, and lodged a complaint with the MFC police station.
