Speculations were rife that Mohanlal would be teaming up with director Arun Gopy for a film and this has been confirmed. The star will be collaborating with the director for a new project and it will be bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner.
Incidentally, Mohanlal had associated with the producer for the hit movie Pulimurugan. The director’s debut venture Ram Leela and the yet-to-be-released Iruthpathiyonnam Noottaandu is being bankrolled by the same producer.
Arun Gopy had just wrapped up the shooting of Iruthpathiyonnam Noottaandu, which has Pranav Mohanlal in the lead. This is Pranav Mohanlal’s second film as well.
Touted to be a travel-based romance, Pranav Mohanlal plays a surfer in the film and underwent basic surfing training in Bali to get into the skin of the character he plays.
The film’s technical crew is very impressive. Gopi Sunder will be scoring the music for this flick with Hari Narayanan penning the lyrics. Abinandan Ramanjunam of Amen and Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal fame will be cranking the camera and the National award winning editor Vivek Harshan will be handling the film’s editing.
Sound designer Renganaath Ravee, stunt coordinator Peter Hein and art director Joseph Nellickal are also part of the technical team.
While the shooting of Iruthpathiyonnam Noottaandu has been wrapped up, Mohanlal has a slew of films needing his attention. His Odiyan is scheduled for release on December 14 for which expectations are very high.
The star also has the Prithviraj’s first directorial Lucifer, slated for release in April next year;,Priyadarshan’s Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham, which went on to the floors recently, director Siddique’s Big Brother, and Jibi Joju’s Ittymani Made in China.
With too many films lined up in various stages of production, it needs to be seen when Arun Gopy’s project would commence.
