If industry sources are anything to go by, maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam and Ram Charan, who had previously planned to collaborate, are all set to come together. Ratnam had planned to work with Ram Charan in an action flick. However, the latter wasn’t happy with the final draft of the script and subsequently turned down the offer. The latest update is that the Roja filmmaker is seriously contemplating on reviving the same project.

While more details are awaited regarding this project at the moment, it is being said that Mani Ratnam will meet Ram Charan soon to decide and discuss in detail and take this forward. Currently, both are busy with their respective projects, and this film will most probably materialize next year. But, it also depends on the result of Charan’s Dhruva and Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai with Karthi.

Charan is busy wrapping up Dhruva, a remake of Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan. Mani Ratnam is gearing up for the next schedule of his film in Kashmir, where predominant portions of the film will be shot.
