Mahesh Babu’s upcoming untitled film, directed by Vamsi Paidapally, slated for release on Ugadi next year, would be on the farmers’ issues, say sources close to the film unit. The film, which is being referred as MB 25 is the star’s 25th movie. Sources in the know say that Mahesh Babu is closely associated with the plight of the farmers and always wanted to make it a subject in one of his movies.

The makers have decided to opt for a summer release during Ugadi to cash in on the vacation season. Pooja Hegde is paired opposite Mahesh Babu in this flick.

The film is bankrolled by ace producer Aswini Dutt and Dil Raju under their banners. PVP Cinemas had filed a legal suit against the filmmakers alleging infringement of their IP Rights. According to latest reports, the issue has been resolved through an out of court settlement.

Mahesh Babu’s last outing Bharath Ane Nenu released in April was a roaring hit. The film was directed by Siva Koratala and featured the star as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. With a blockbuster hit under his belt, Mahesh Babu is looking forward to score another big hit with his film on farmers.
