Hundreds of people were evacuated from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Sunday night (Monday morning IST) after police reported of an active shooter in a terminal.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said the reports of the shooter had come from two callers, but there was no confirmation of what was exactly happening, CBS News reported.
The Los Angeles Airport Police also could not confirm the reports of a shooter, saying there was no evidence to confirm the claims, but an investigation was underway.
Latest TV reports suggest police have not found any shooter. The official twitter handle of the LA police retweeted one of its officers saying, "Report of shooting at LAX proven to be LOUD NOISES only No Shots Fired No Injuries investigation continues to locate source."
