The Lokayukta police have registered a case against former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and JD (S) leader HD Kumaraswamy in connection with the denotification of land in Gangenahalli, reported Deccan Herald. In a complaint filed by Jayakumar Hiremath on April 30, he states that two had colluded to denotify one acre and 11 guntas of land in Gangenahalli. The land was acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to form a layout in Mathadahalli and a final notification was issued in 1977, he stated his complaint. During his regime as the chief minister, Kumaraswamy had begun the process to denotify the land which was finally done in 2010 when B S Yeddyurappa became the CM, the report said. The police have booked cases of forgery and cheating against Kumaraswamy's mother-in-law, Vimala, and her son T S Channappa in connection with the case.
