LG India has announced the launch of an innovative smartphone that is capable of keeping mosquitos away from you when you are using it and you have activated the feature.
In terms of the basic specifications of the phone, it comes with a 5-inch on-cell display and the phone’s overall dimensions are 144.7mmx72.6mmx8.1mm and its weight 138 grams.
Announced at the India Mobile Congress, the LG K7i is equipped with a quad-core (model and clocking speed, not specified) processor and has 2GB RAM to support the CPU and 16GB internal memory. There is the provision to add a microSD card to enhance the storage limits. A removable 2500mAh battery powers the smartphone. The OS will be the Android Marshmallow out of the box. LG could have gone in for the Android Nougat at least with this device.
With regard to the optics department, the LG K7i has an 8MP rear sensor and a 5MP front camera with flash support. The phone will accommodate 2 SIMs and has all the connectivity options.
Brown is the only color that the LG K7i would be sold in.
Now returning to the special feature on this smartphone, of its capability to keep mosquitos away through the use of technology integrated into the device. It has to be brought the attention of the readers that LG has already used the same “Mosquito Away” technology in its range of air conditioners and televisions in the Indian market. LG claims that it had received a positive response from their customers and that is the reason they have now launched the LG K7i smartphone with the same feature.
The technology uses ultrasonic frequency and generation of sound waves to chase away mosquitos in the vicinity of the smartphone. The company has hastened to clarify for the benefit of the users that the technology is absolutely safe and there is no noise or odor created through the use of this technology and customers can fearlessly use the LG K7i smartphone with this feature.
With all these specs and features, the LG K7i will be sold in India at Rs 7, 990.
