Kerala’s opposition leader VS Achuthanandan's letters on various issues has kept the state's political scene churning over the years. And like in every election year another of Achutanandan's letters have been leaked out.

In a letter written to the Director General of Police. VS Achutanandan sought for an enquiry against MV Nikesh Kumar, Managing Director of Indo Asian News Channel (Reporter TV) and his wife Rani Varghese. Though the letter was written in March, it has come as a source of embarrassment for the party as Nikesh Kumar is currently an LDF candidate.

Achuthanandan had attached a complaint written by Laly Joseph, a business partner of Nikesh, in which she alleges that Nikesh took Rs 1.5 crore from her and offered her the post of channel director, but duped her by not giving the post. The letter has also alleged that Nikesh did not even give her the shares he had offered her.

Achuthanandan alleges in the letter that though an FIR was charged against Nikesh, the channel MD has been manipulating the enquiry through his influences.

The letter while seeking an enquiry says that documents to prove Nikesh’s fraud was attached with the letter.
