Acclaimed Bollywood actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey on Monday announced their separation after just a little over five years of tying the knot. The duo had been dating each other for three years before they decided to get married.
The couple, who had been dogged by rumours that there was trouble in their marital life for long, also announced that they will continue to co-parent their four-year-old son Haroon.
"Ranvir and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you," Konkona, daughter of renowned filmmaker Aparna Sen, posted on Twitter.
Ranvir also made the announcement on the social media platform.
"Konkona and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you," he wrote.
The duo acted together in the movie "Gour Hari Dastaan: The Freedom File" earlier this year.
