
Family members of Cynthia, the Congolese national who was allegedly butchered by her husband in Hyderabad, on Wednesday gathered at the Shamshabad police station, to register a formal complaint, demanding strict punishment for the accused.
Rupesh Kumar Agarwal, a stockbroker from Hyderabad allegedly butchered his wife, put the body parts in a suitcase and tried to set it ablaze using petrol on the outskirts of Hyderabad when he was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police.
The couple had been married for eight years and even had a seven-year-old daughter.
A report in Deccan Chronicle adds that Cynthia’s relatives have temporarily taken custody of the daughter from Rupesh’s mother.

Cynthia's body is now kept at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. Forensic experts from OGH said the body parts were stitched together during post-mortem examination. However, the body has decomposed.
