A policewoman of Ambalavayal in Wayanad was found hanging inside the restroom of the police station on Friday.

Sajini, 37, a civil police officer of Ambalavayal police station was found dead in the morning.

Sajini is the wife of Rajendran of Puthiyapadi in Meppadi.

According to reports in Malayalam dailies, the relatives have alleged foul play in the death saying that there were no circumstances that could have prompted her to take the extreme step. The relatives pointed out that the legs of Sajini’s body were seen touching the floor and the police cap was not removed from her head.

Police have found a suicide note from the spot. However they haven’t revealed the details of it.

She was in the guard duty from two to four in the early morning on Friday in the station. She went to the restroom after handing over the duty to another cop.

Later, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan using the dupatta of her salwar, by one of her women colleagues, reports Manorama Online

The body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem in the Government medical college Kozhikode.
